Jenna's most recent work is a series of three vases that comment on the connection between death and remembrance. Loss to Love shows the evolution of grief to love through molded and wheel-thrown clay vessels. Each piece is shaped and decorated differently to represent the nonlinear evolution of her experience with loss. The first vessel portrays skeleton figures embracing atop an earn style shape. The second vessel includes more ornamental appliques with young blooms protruding out the top. The third vessel is the most ornamental and lively with flowering blooms and lighter glazes. Loss to love is a memorial for the human experience of continually overcoming change. The vessels are presented on pedestals so the viewer can walk around to see all sides.
